A eulogy to chocolate and coffee...

Thank you so much for everyone's donations to my mom's fund. Each little bit helps, and we continue to feel blessed for every dollar that has been given. We are still a ways away from our targeted donation goal. Please feel free to pass this along to any friends and family that you feel I might have missed.

My mom is recovering well and, aside from not being able to eat certain foods, feels almost totally normal. If the surgery hadn't saved her life, I'm not sure anything would be worth giving up chocolate and coffee! More power to you, mom :)

I hope everyone is experiencing some degree of spring weather. It is running a bit late in Vermont, as in... totally absent!

I raise my coffee cup to each and everyone's good health!

Recovering well

Thanks for everyone's support over the past few weeks as my mom has continued to recover. My brother Andy recently asked her if she was "In a coma, like on General Hospital". Too funny Andy! We are still quite a ways away from our fundraising goal...please keep Lisa and my family in your thoughts as this much anticipated spring approaches.

Lisa had an emergency gallbladder surgery on February 9th, 2011. She was hospitalized for many days due to the severity and complications of her condition. Lisa and Bobby Florence

A little bit about my family...

Lisa, Bobby, and Andy Florence all live together in Fort Walton Beach Florida. My mother is an energetic lady who loves all animals and people. She works full time + as a Medical Transcriptionist. My father works in a local store and is currently putting himself through EMT school at night. My brother is an endless entertainer and ladies man, and works at a restaurant and movie theater. They have two cats and a very fluffy dog. My mom enjoys spending time outside, reading, and eating whatever amazing food my dad happens to have cooked on that day. Here is a picture of my brother Andy. He's the best!
